VISUP is a deep-tech commercialization company established by VISTEC in 2021. Our Mission is to lead the commercialization and investment of VISTEC’s research and breakthrough ideas by 1) promoting VISTEC’s aspiring deep tech entrepreneurs 2) Bringing VISTEC’s scientific discoveries to the industry’s attention 3) Partnering with the industries and investors to spin off VISTEC’s research to deep tech businesses.
VISUP also envisions leading Thailand’s deep tech investment and acceleration, creating a chain reaction that builds up the deep tech ecosystem across academic, industrial, and strategic investors. VISUP functions as an angel fund that provides pre-seed and seed funding (prior to Series A), while offering support in project management, IP management, business development, innovation processes, technology assessment, technology roadmapping, and business plan development.
VISUP builds the next generation of world-changing companies and has established four startups to date:
1) VISAI Co., Ltd., 2) Cleantech & Beyond Co., Ltd., 3) GreenGen Co., Ltd., and 4) Circularis Co., Ltd. VISUP also highlights Detectra as its key incubation project. In addition, VISUP actively supports the growth of deep tech startups emerging from partner universities.

Cleantech & Beyond is a spin-off company from the Electronic Devices and Materials Innovation Laboratory, School of Molecular Science and Engineering (MSE), VISTEC, led by Dr. Pichaya Pattanasattayavong.
The fully commercial enterprise was founded in 2023 with a seed fund from VISUP Co., Ltd. after successfully completing three key development phases: basic research, technology development, and product development, with support from VISTEC, IRPC Public Company Limited, and the Thai Government’s Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMUC).
Cleantech & Beyond specializes in developing advanced materials for environmental sensing applications. Our team of technical experts (with three VISTEC PhD alumni) and industry veterans is dedicated to creating sustainable and innovative technologies that benefit both people and the planet.
Products and Technologies
Our product portfolio includes DTI Digital Temperature Indicator and conductive inks. DTI is a smart digital label that can be attached to any items or surfaces to track their ID and, crucially, their threshold temperature status.
The DTI sends digital data via RFID wireless communication and can continuously track the critical temperature without needing a battery. At the core of the temperature sensor is our specially formulated thermoresponsive material, a result of advanced materials development, that can detect a temperature excursion event and have a built-in memory via its irreversibility.
DTI is the first of its kind, offering an innovative solution to track the temperature status at item-level or component-level and has many applications: preventive maintenance in industrial plants, inventory and warehousing, and logistics.
We also offer organic conductive inks in several formulations. Containing no metals, yet achieving high conductivity, the inks are well suited for printed electronics.

Company Overview
Circularis, officially established in 2026, is a deep-tech upcycling spin-off originating from VISTEC’s "V-CAT" (Catalyst) research group and led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chularat Wattanakit and Dr. Anittha Prasertsab. The company is dedicated to transforming industrial waste, particularly decommissioned solar panels, into high-value, sustainable materials. Circularis’s core mission is to address the massive upcoming regional bottleneck of end-of-life solar waste by deploying clean, low-energy technologies that support the transition to green energy and circular economies.
Products and Technologies
The company's product portfolio is built on a dual-route technological framework. Its first core product is high-purity (95–99%) Green Nano-silica, synthesized through a low-temperature hydrothermal and extraction process that upcycles the glass components of solar waste under 200°C, increasing the value of recycled components by up to 30 times. This green material is uniquely suited for high-demand applications in the tire, construction, coating, and chemical catalyst industries. Building on this foundation, Circularis leverages its nano-silica to synthesize custom, solvent-free zeolite structures to produce Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Catalysts. These customizable SCR catalysts deliver up to twice the efficiency of general commercial alternatives while significantly lowering the process's environmental and carbon footprint

PROJECT DETECTRA
Company Overview
Detectra Biotechnology is a spin-off project from VISTEC’s School of Biomolecular Science and Engineering (BSE), led by Professor Dr. Pimchai Chaiyen and Dr. Prachya Waethaisong. Originating from the Lumos research project, the deep-tech enterprise is actively preparing for its formal establishment in 2026.
The company aims to address critical food safety challenges in Thailand and the wider region, where over 60% of agricultural produce suffers from pesticide contamination. Detectra is committed to democratizing food safety by transforming advanced molecular research into accessible, on-site, and zero-waste testing solutions that protect consumer health and support agricultural export standards.
Products and Technologies
Our product portfolio is built on engineered enzyme technologies centered on two core offerings:
- High-Sensitivity Enzyme-Based Detection Platform (LUMOS): Rapid, precise pre-screening test kits designed to detect all four major groups of pesticides (Organophosphates, Carbamates, Organochlorines, and Pyrethroids) with a proven accuracy of over 90%.
- Bio-Catalytic Enzyme Powder: An innovative degradation powder engineered for effective pesticide detoxification and removal.
Unlike traditional laboratory methods (such as LC-MS) or slow, multi-procedure screening kits, Detectra’s solution is fast (providing results in 15 minutes), stable, easy to use (requiring no complex laboratory equipment), and generates zero chemical waste.
