Mongkhol Prawatborisut (Kuang), a VISTEC student under the supervision of Daniel Crespy, unraveled the relationship between temperature and the formation of a protein corona around nanocarriers in contact with blood. Mongkhol demonstrated that a stealth effect could be imparted to nanoparticles by functionalizing their surfaces with specific polymers. The stealth effect is particularly important in nanomedicine because it allows nanoparticles to circulate for longer time in the body. These findings were published in Small (impact factor of 13.3) and Advanced Functional Materials (impact factor of 18.8).
